- How do you start an audio-only Sing Live?
Within your Profile, click on the 3 straight lines in the upper right corner. A menu will appear and it will have the Sing Live feature on top.
- I’m a VIP user, can I use both the video+audio and the audio-only experience?
Yes, you can. While these are both fun ways to share your unique voice, they are entirely separate experiences. The video + audio experience can now only be launched via a group, whereas audio-only is found directly from your profile. You can learn more about the Sing Live VIP with video/audio experience here
- Can anyone join my audio-only Sing Live?
Yes! As long as they have a Smule account, are age 16+, and can navigate to your profile during a live performance OR you invite them directly, you can sing together! Live sessions cannot be saved. This is not available for both audio-only and Live sessions with video.
4. I don't see any active Sing Live sessions in Smule. Where can I find them?
For the audio-only experience, you can find Sing Live sessions directly from a performer’s profile. For VIP users seeking the audio+video experience, this is only discoverable in ‘Groups.’ As a VIP group member, you will be able to start a Sing Live session or join an active session through your group’s profile page.
- Can a VIP member start an audio-only Sing Live?
Absolutely! Anyone age 16+ can start an audio-only Sing Live session from their profile.
- How do I join an audio-only Sing Live audio-only session?
You can join a Sing-Live session under ‘Explore’ > ‘Live Now’ or by visiting a user’s profile and if that user is currently live it will show ‘Live’. You will then be able to view and join the active session. They can also invite you directly to their session where you will be able to sing together.
- Do I need to download the most recent version of the app to see the new audio-only experience?
We always recommend downloading the most recent version of the app for a better experience.
8. Can my Live session be Private?
Yes! To make your Live session Private, click on the 3 dots in the upper left corner and disable the toggle “Visible to Everyone”.
