Why is my session timing out?
With this initial change, users will now be able to join and sing together for a limited time per session. Once a session exceeds the set time duration, that session will automatically time out and close.
What is the time limit per Sing Live session?
We are implementing a 10-hour session limit, with room for future adjustments. Whether you are a VIP user or non-VIP, the maximum duration for each Sing Live session will be the same. Once the live session has reached the time limit, it will end and close for all participants including the host.
Can I host another Sing Live session after the maximum time duration runs out?
Yes! If you’d like more time to sing, you may start another session.
Will this change impact all Sing Lives or just audio-only (non-VIP)?
The change will apply to all VIP and non-VIP Sing Live sessions including public, private, and group sessions.
Why did Smule initiate a time limit on sessions?
The purpose of Sing Live is to enjoy singing with others, friends or strangers, live. We hope that by implementing a time limit per session, we will encourage more quality sessions while reducing the number of non-performances as well as create a fair and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Additionally, this adjustment allows us to pave the way for future enhancements to the Sing Live feature.
