How do I search?
You can search for songs, singers, invites, and recordings. Tap on the magnifying glass at the top right of your screen. Type in any combination of terms related to the song, singer, invite, or recording you are looking for:
- Recordings: title, artist, tags, arranger, singer(s)
- Songs: title, artist, tags, arranger
- Singers: username, first and last name, hashtags
- Invites: title, artist, tags, arranger, singer (who created the invite)
For example, you can search for “flashlight jessie j” to find Jessie J’s song “Flashlight” or search by “meghan trainor @gregorybrothers” to find GregoryBrothers’ invite for a Meghan Trainor song. You can even type in the usernames or real names of multiple participants to find recordings they’ve done together. For example, you can search for “jason derulo luke bryan” to find their duet together.
How do I get better results when searching for singers or artists?
Try typing in their username or their real name. Singers can enter their real names on their settings page in the Smule app or on Smule.com. If you want to search only usernames, try adding @ in front of your search term (@smule). Typing in the full username will also help provide more accurate results.
