Am I able to disable tips?
Yes, you sure can. Turning off the tipping feature is just as easy as turning it on.
Here’s how to disable tipping:
1. Go to your ‘Profile’
2. Click ‘Edit Profile’
3. Select ‘Tipping/Donation’ to turn it off
What payment providers are currently available?
Creators can choose to receive payments through the following payment providers:
U.S. & International Payment Providers:
- Paypal
- Wise
- Revolut
U.S. Only Payment Providers:
- Venmo
- Cash App
UK, Turkey, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland payment providers:
- Papara
Note: You will be redirected to the payment provider app or website if the app is not installed on your device.
What if someone wants to pay me with a payment provider I don’t have?
You will only be able to receive tips via the payment method(s)/provider(s) you’ve enabled.
Example: If Suzieanna enabled Paypal as the payment method she’d like to receive tips from and Marley wants to tip Suzieanna via Wise, he will not be able to do so.
Is it free to set up the Tip Me feature?
Currently, there is no fee to activate the Tipping component, and Smule does not take a share of any transactions made through the Tip Me feature.
However, please keep in mind that each payment processing provider has their own fee/distribution policies that you must abide by.
Please visit the individual payment providers’ website to learn more about their terms, and fee structure.
Are there any prerequisites before you’re eligible to start earning with “Tips?”
Tips are currently available to those who meet the following prerequisites:
