What are Verified Badges, and what are the differences between Purple Verified Badge and
Gold Verified Badge?
Smule offers two types of Verified Badges - Purple and Gold.
The Purple Verified Badge is exclusively reserved for artists and official Smule accounts. If you see the purple badge next to an account's name, you can trust that it's the real deal - Smule has verified its authenticity. There is no application process to obtain it, as it’s exclusively awarded by Smule to appropriate artists and official Smule channels.
The Gold Verified Badge is an exclusive badge available to select members of the Smule community, based on eligibility requirements set by Smule. It’s important to note this authenticated badge is a paid offering, separate from a VIP subscription, with eligibility and validation requirements based on specific metrics and achievements. In an effort to prevent fraud, we won’t be publically sharing the specific milestones required, but they will be related to the age of the account, number of performances, number of social interactions, and many other factors.
How do I get a Gold Verified Badge and what to do if I don’t see the option to “Get Verified” on my profile?
When you meet Smule’s eligibility criteria, you’ll see the "Get Verified" button in the top left of your profile. Click on it, follow a few simple steps, and the badge will appear on your profile.
If you do not see the “Get Verified” button, keep checking regularly, as the button will automatically appear once you meet the requirements.
What are the requirements for a Gold Verified Badge?
If you’re interested in becoming eligible for the Gold Verified Badge, we recommend focusing on the following:
- Influence: Build a significant presence on Smule by having a meaningful following, consistently creating content, and actively engaging with your fellow community members
- Active Participation: Log in regularly and interact with content other than your own
- Profile Completion: Keep your Smule profile well-rounded, informative, and up-to-date
- Verified Credentials: Link your profile with genuine contact information (you can do this in your profile settings)
- Seniority: Maintain an account with consistent activity for an extended period of time
Is the Gold Verified Badge part of my VIP subscription?
The Gold Verified Badge is a paid option and is not connected to your other payments in the Smule app, including your VIP subscription.
How long will the Gold Verified Badge appear on my profile and how much does it cost?
When you purchase the Gold Verified Badge, you’ll be able to choose the duration of the badge appearing on your profile. The price of the Gold Verified Badge will depend on the period you choose.
