What are Moments?
- Moments allow you to join performances by singing part of a song, such as a chorus or verse, vs the whole song.
- Are Moments available for all users?
- Moments is available for all of our users regardless of the platform they are using!
- What if I want to sing the whole song vs. a Moment?
- Switching between singing the full song and singing a Moment is easy. Just make sure that the toggle is set on the Full Song or Moment before you start the performance
- Is it functional with audio + video?
- Yes, you can record audio-only Moments or videos.
- How does the group layering work?:
- First, create a full length group invite. Invite group members to create their Moment(s), and add the Moments to the performance. Once complete, the full performance will appear on all group participant pages.
- Will users creating with Moments vs. others creating the full song still be able to make group perfs together?
- Yes, both Moments and full song joins can be used in group performances.
- How is arrangement segmentation decided?
- We have an algorithm that segments songbook arrangements and uploads when manual segmentation isn't set up by the uploader.
- We do not edit/override an uploader’s segmentation, so what they set is what remains (unless edited by the uploader themselves).
- A song uploader can always go back in and improve the segmentation, and we encourage you to do so.
- Are all Moments 30 seconds long?
- No, they are all different lengths. It depends on the length of the segment.
- Can you open a song invite in Moments?
- Right now, you can’t open an invite using Moments. All song invites are full length.
- Can you select to sing more than one Moment at the same time?
- Not yet. When creating with Moments, you can sing the full song or one segment. We are already working on giving you the freedom to sing any number of segments you want!
- What if I want to watch the whole song in Now Playing vs. just a Moment?
- The loop button lets you turn on/off watching Moments vs. the whole song.
- The next performance on your feed will follow the preference you set, i.e. if you turn on Moments, the next performance in your feed will be a Moment performance. You can always change this preference whenever you want.
